Can anyone recommend a low cost/reasonably priced self catering apartment not necessarily in the Tignes centre, can be in le Breviers? the dates are 28 March - 4 April 2009. We will be probably a group of 4 or 5, need 1 bedroom appt. We are not after luxuries and apre-ski, and will have a car. Any ideas, websites, e-mail addresses will be gratefully received.
Two more questions: Are there car parks by the main ski lift lower stations (as for example in Avoriaz or St. Gervais?).
How difficult is to park in the main (higher) town in the evening?
I will be grateful for any tips, as it si going to be our first time in Tignes.
Thank you very much?

Hi,
Not much self-catering in Les Brev as I recall, but I%26#39;d check out %26quot;Tignes Development%26quot; on the official tignes.net resort website, and probably look at tinges.co.uk and tignes-spirit.com as well.
There are car parks in each of the villages - Les Brev and Les Boisses carparks are outdoors and (as I recall) are free. They%26#39;re not necessarily next to the ski lifts, but they%26#39;ll be near enough to walk, or near a bus stop for the free resort bus, or you%26#39;ll be able to ski down to a lift.
In the higher villages there%26#39;s an outdoor carpark in Val Claret next to the funicular station which isn%26#39;t free but is fairly cheap. Otherwise Val Claret, Le Lavachet and Le Lac have 5 underground car parks between them.
During the evening a lot of people will park up on the side of the road though it%26#39;s slightly risky - theoretically you could get towed if the traffic cops are in a bad mood or they need to do some emergency snow ploughing. I think you can get at least a couple of hours free parking in the underground carparks though.
Cheers,
Matt
