When we last visited Paris, we stayed in a flat steps away from the Picasso Museum--and we fell in love with the location, so we would very much like to stay very near the museum again. It is unclear whether that flat is available for our next trip, so I am looking for options. We need two beds (twin beds are just fine--and we can also live with one bed and a sleeper sofabed (so long as the sofabed is comfortable). We would like a nice place--but our budget is at about $200-$250 USD/night. Thank you in advance for any recommendations.

This apartment is closer to the Pompidou Centre, but still in the general vicinity. I haven%26#39;t stayed there, but it looks quite nice and within your budget. If it%26#39;s of interest, you could do a search here on TA to see if anyone has reviewed the apartment. I believe vacationinparis.com is fairly reputable based on what I%26#39;ve read here.

That location is very central but very, very different than the Picasso museum area. It is right on the square around the Pompidou which is touristy, busy and can be %26quot;very lively%26quot; at night. It is, however, good value for money for the space. For an equivalent price by the Picasso museum, you will get a smaller one-bedroom.

I agree the Pompidou Center area is not the Marais, it is a different atmosphere and so is the apartment style, in a modern building.
Have you seen this previous recommendation, it is not right at Picasso Museum, but it is not far and definitively Marais atmosphere at place des Vosges? The poster took time for a very detailed report, you know what you expect!

Paris Best Lodge has an apartment called the Rue Thorighny apartment and that is the street that the Picasso museum is on so maybe try that.

Thanks to all for the information and recommendations. lroccafor, funny you should mention parisbestlodge--it was actually in that very flat that we stayed during our last visit (and we loved it), but it is not available this time around. I am checking with Thierry for other available apartments in Le Marais, however, so that%26#39;s very high on our list. We were just hoping to be near the Picasso Museum again so that we could be within steps of the restaurants we frequented last time around--not to mention the convenience of the directional street signs that always pointed our way home late at night (since they very visibly mark the way to the Museum!) Thanks again.
