Paris for the day!

Hi there, my wife and I are going to Paris for the day on Eurostar in January arriving about 10:30am and departing at 17:00 and are wondering what would be the best way of making the most of our time there?

I%26#39;ve been told the Latin Quarter is nice, maybe the best thing is to stay in one district rather than try and dash everywhere and not get anything done?

Thanks

Jason

Have you been to Paris before? If not, there are some iconic places, and maybe you need to see those, such as Eiffel Tower, Arc du Triomphe, etc.

However, I would go for a nice tight area around Notre Dame, Ste Chapelle, Isle st Louis and its main street, including the lovely shops such as Pylones, the chocolate shop, the cheese shop, Berthillion icecreams (in the shop if possible, closed Mon, Tues)

Then choose a gallery. You may like the Louvre or Musee D%26#39;Orsay. I would choose something more intimate such as L%26#39;Orangerie at the far end of the Tuilleries gardens, and see the Monet waterlillies in the top section and then the beautiful curation of the Impressionists in the lower section. If you like art, or even think you might, this is a powerful and beautiful collection.

For a view, catch the metro to Trocadero and look down on the Eiffel tower. Then walk down and under if you have time.
