We will be in Bayeux the end of October, and have read wonderful things about Overlord Tours. However, we are having trouble deciding which tour to take: Omaha/Utah Beaches or Omaha/Band of Brothers? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

If you have to choose I%26#39;d choose Omaha / band of brothers. It takes in Ste mere Eglise and Utah beach.
There are other options such as battlebus, normandy travel, normandy siteseeing or an audio guide.

My son and I did the Omaha/BoB tour. It was incredible and the very reason why we went to Normandy. The guide was great and it was well worth the price. I reviewed this in a earlier post, and would be happy to share more info to include some pictures if you are interested.

We ended up taking the Overlord %26quot;Band of Brothers%26quot; tour. It was fantastic...everything travelers on this website describe.
Battlebus is another good touring group. Overlord has French guides, and Oliver, our guide, spoke excellent English. Battlebus has British guides.
Both have websites; just Google %26quot;Overlord%26quot; and %26quot;Battlebus%26quot; tours. Overlord required a credit card for reservation, but cash at the end of our trip. We felt more secure calling them with our card number, but you can send it via email or fax. I%26#39;m not sure how Battlebus accepts payment.

Did you get your info via the most recent post and website. I would highly recommend Overlord. Alain is one of owners and he did our tour. Great on all accounts. Be glad to answer any and all of your questions.

I am glad that we took the tour led by French guides. It happened on their soil, and I liked hearing the story from the French point of view. Oliver, our guide, was excellent, and he and Alain, Overlord%26#39;s owner, have received rave reviews on this site.

Our family chose the Overlord Omaha/BOB tour largely due to our 10 year old son%26#39;s fascination with BOB and we did not regret it! Olivier was our tour guide and he was fantastic.
