calling Paris from US

I have read on here regarding calling France from US. I want to leave our apt phone number for some people in case of emergency. This is what I%26#39;ve learned:

The number to connect with the international line is 011 not 001. That followed by 33 1 plus the 8 digit number worked.

001 is the code when you call North America from France (actually it is 00 + 1).

When calling from North America it is 011+country code+local code (city or region)+phone number. Be careful France uses 01 for Paris, 04 is the Riviera, 06 for cell phones but you should NEVER dial the 0 in the regional code.

So here%26#39;s where I%26#39;m confused. I dial 011-33-1-then 8 digit number, or ........-01-then 8 digit number?

When dialing France from North America, omit the leading %26quot;0%26quot; of the French number.

The French number: 01 23 45 67 89

becomes:

011-33-1-23-45-67-89

thanks for clarifying that for me.
