Another first timer - accommodation

We will be in Paris for 3 nights in May and have enjoyed the previous post (for the first timer) and gathered the information for our 3 nights in May.

Can someone recommend accommodation budget is fine (but has to be clean) . Also what location should we be looking at to stay that is central to what we will be doing

Thanks for your help

We can%26#39;t do that unless we know what you will be doing!

The sights of Paris are spread out, and there is no accommodation that is close to all of them.

Hey, most everywhere is near something, but for the sake of simplicity, stay closer to river then farther out, and inbetween the Eiffel Tower and Notre Dame ( look at a map) . MOst sites are within that rough area,, for first timers anyways.

Arrondissmonts ( neighborhoods) 1 through 7 roughly . Any hotel address will normally list its postal code, 5 digits, starting with 750 for Paris , and last two digits are the arrondissmont. So , 75006 is in the 6th( also known as the St Germain area)

What is budget limit?

Our budget is around 100 euro

We are hoping to cruise on the Seine, Champs, Eiffel Tower and maybe Lourve

I stayed at La Louisiane, in rue de Seine in St Germaine. It was pretty well within walking distance of most places (except Montmartre and the Eiffel Tour), close to three metro stations, and I see from their website that a double is €100.

The rooms are tiny, but it was warm and clean and everything in the bathroom worked. That was all I cared about.

There was a small fridge in the room, and a supermarket virtually across the street.

I am also in Perth (I presume you mean Western Australia and not Scotland :-) )and would be happy to meet you and pass on some tips.

If you send me a private message (if you haven%26#39;t used that before, just click on my name on this post and use the Send Message link), I%26#39;ll send you back my contact details.
