very early morning to CDG

Our flight from Paris leaves at 6:40 a.m. Too early for public transportation.

Can anyone recommend a shuttle service that does not charge a huge amount extra for the early time?

How early before our flight do we need to be at the airport (we are flying Lufthansa to Frankfort).

Thank you - we are so looking forward to our first trip to Paris. I have enjoyed reading all the postings.

PS There are only 2 of us, so I believe a taxi would be quite a bit more. The airport is CDG.

Quite a few posters have recommended Shuttle-Inter -- reserve them at least 48 hrs in advance.

We took a taxi from Denfert-Rochereau around 6:15-6:30am to CDG for 43 euro, before tip.

Thank you very much. As I looked at other posts about shuttles, people mentioned cab fares of up to 155 Euros. I realize that this could be for a longer trip, but that was very scary. We will be staying in the 5th near the Sorbonne, so am glad to hear the 40 to 50 Euro price range to CDG.

Our fares to/from the 7th have always been between €38-48, except for one time when we were headed into Paris during rush hour AND there was a very serious accident, a van and a motorcycle I think (injured were being treated on the highway) with significant delays. That fare was €62 and the driver felt so awful about that he kept trying to wave away any tip.

At that time of the morning, there should be nearly no traffic to CDG, so you wouldn%26#39;t have to worry about the meter...

Best bet is to phone G7 Taxi 01-41-27-66-99 (for service in English) the day before to arrange. They%26#39;ve always been perfectly reliable for us, and arrive a few minutes early.

Be sure you know the CDG terminal from your flight itinerary.

We don%26#39;t use shuttles in Paris for a number of good reasons.
