Hen Party? St Laurent du Var

Hi! I%26#39;m tryin to plan a hen party for my best friend for the end of Sept or early Oct 2009. Can anyone let me know if St Laurent du Var would be suitable for lazing aound the shops during the day and partying by night with nice food in between. If not sorrento can you recommend somewhere else in this region? Oh, also what are the food and drink prices like? Thanks!xx

I%26#39;d pick Nice- more night life - nicer surroundings, better shops and restaurants

Sorrento is not a patch on Nice for the town itself - we went there at the end of October beginning of November 2008 and it was really really disappointing - we live in Nice so maybe its to be expected but even my parents were disappointed by Sorrento

sorrento is brilliant as a hub for exploring elsewhere -pompeii, Herculaneum Naples etc but the town doesn%26#39;t have much attraction in itself and is mainly closed in October and its really amazingly expensive for coffees etc

Nice is pretty much an all year round city for tourists and has restaurants at all price ranges from cheap to expensive plus clubs and bars etc

public transport is cheap in both places nice and sorrento

For shops and partying, Nice fills the bill much better than St-Laurent-du-Var.
