Flights to paris from east coast?

I%26#39;m finding that right now tix for an april trip w/ saturday night stay from our east coast local are costing about 1K each. Does that seem in the ballpark or am I overpaying? I checked kayak.com, beyond that my sophistication pretty much peters out.

Seems about right. We usually book through Expedia.

Expedia.ca is showing direct flights from Toronto to Paris in April leaving on a Friday and returning on a Friday at $916 CAD on Air France. I think with the once again lousy exchange rate (for us), it would be around $750 US. Just something to ponder since Rochester is not that far from here. Is there still that high speed ferry between our two cities?

I just did a dummy search on Orbitz and see Air Canada, from Rochester r/t for $738 (April 15-20).

I think you can do much better with www.1800flyeurope.com

Goo luck..

Feel like a 4 hours drive to Montreal?

Have a look at AirTransat: http://tinyurl.com/7k9kae

(or airtransat.com %26gt; English %26gt; Flight Deals %26gt; Montreal

$689.00 CDN to Paris April 1-7... that is $567 USD at today%26#39;s exchange rate. That%26#39;s the full price, taxes, fees, security charges etc etc included.

Tough deal to beat!

If you leave on a Tue - Thur the flight is cheaper.

I find by the time the taxes are added on on 1-800 Flyeurope, it is the same price as expedia.

I am leaving on a Tue at end of March and the flight is 725 out of Pittsburgh going to Philly and then Paris. I usually book 6 months out for flights.

It%26#39;s a little high. I%26#39;ve been doing the same thing for a trip in April %26#39;09, ideally Wed - Sat. I%26#39;ve been watching Continental and have seen prices from approx $650 pp to $850 pp. I have a feeling the difference might be that I am looking at Newark - CDG and you are looking at one of the NY airports.

Could you get down to Newark?

Newark?

Appears to me Montreal is closer, less expensive and a less busy airport...

So many great replies. Thanks a ton! The collective travel intelligence of this process just went up hugely thanks to your input. :)

Actually montreal is 6 hours from here, we%26#39;re about an hour south of Roch, but Roch is a convenient airport and I%26#39;d pay a little more to fly out of there because I expect to be brain-dead by the time we arrive back here. An hour%26#39;s drive home should be easier to negotiate than six. That doesn%26#39;t mean I%26#39;m not going to take a good look at all the great ideas posted here, tho. Montreal is a really nice price!

The ferry ... that would be fabulous! I%26#39;d love to fly out of Toronto like that. Unfortunately it looks like Roch couldn%26#39;t foot the bill and we sold it, at a huge loss I think. :)

My bad! The cold weather must be affecting my eyes... I was thinking Syracuse not Rochester...
