help needed with Paris train tickets.

We are arriving on a Tue,1 Adult %26amp; 2 teens @ CDG.Would it be better option to get 3 tickets to Chatalet les halles %26amp; there buy 3 one day mobilis to get to Disneyland %26amp; travel back into Paris that evening?

|||

A return ticket from Chatelet-les Halles to the RER at Disney costs 12.90€

A 5-zone Mobilis ticket costs 12.90€, additional benefit of being valid anywhere in Paris until midnight.

Do you have luggage to store, and what%26#39;s your plan for that?

|||

Thanks for your reply,the 1 day mobilis sounds the best option then,12.90 x 3.Can we store the take on luggage at Chatelet les halles?Any idea how much 3 tickets from CDG to C les halles would be?

|||

I also saw on that link u sent me a carte orange zones 1-6 would be €37 for a week,would this be a better option if I got it at CDG %26amp; we could use it until the Friday.?

|||

If you will be there from Tuesday-Friday, and will take the RER to/from CDG to Paris, and use the pass to go to DLP, then it would absolutely be easiest and best to buy the Navigo Decouverte electr. card and load the %26#39;Carte Orange%26#39; pass to it. The ND card costs a one-time fee of 5€; the CO pass for 5 zones costs 33€. You will love using the pass instead of numerous small tickets, and then you will have unlimited use of local metro, bus and RER, as well as the long-dist trips for the airport and Disney.

Bring a small head photo (cut out from a photo you already have or take one with your digital and print it out)... Typical ID-card photo size, I think it was 2cm x 3cm (I think in %26#39;inches%26#39;, about 1x1 inch size).

thanks travelnutty,great info there.

|||

why do you say Tuesday to Friday? Isn%26#39;t the Orange card good for week-ends?

NO...There are no Les CONSIGNES (Left Luggage) facilities at CHATELET-LES HALLES RER...or any other RER or METRO stations in Paris...nor are there any left luggage facilities at CDG.

Your best bet will be to take the RER %26#39;B%26#39; ligne train from CDG to GARE du NORD (8,40€..approx 30 mins)...come up to the main, SNCF/EUROSTAR/THALYS level of the station complex, walk along the main concourse to the far end of the station and use the LES CONSIGNES (near the TAXI rank) facility there. Then return to the RER portion of the Gare du Nord station, purchase the one-calendar-day MOBILIS Zone 1-5 transportation pass. Take the RER %26#39;B%26#39; ligne one(1) stop to CHATELET-LES HALLES...then transfer over to the RER %26#39;A-4%26#39; ligne (heading in the direction of Marne La Vallée-Chessy-DLP..any %26#39;A%26#39; train with a %26#39;..Q xxx..%26#39; designation) to the end-of-the-ligne at MARNE LA VALLÉE-CHESSY RER (approx 45 mins). The main entrance to DLP will be approx 100 meters from the station exits.

thanks kdk great useful info there..

b/c those are the days the OP will be in Paris. The period falls within the validity phase of the C.O. pass, which begins on Mondays, and goes through Sundays. Also, they arrive during the window that the C.O. is sold, which is thru Wednesday.

|||

DUH !!! (accompanied by %26#39;dope-slap%26#39; to the forehead).....seeing your OP again, a thought just occured to me (a mind is a terrible thing to waste). There are CONSIGNES AUTOMATIQUE (Left Luggage Lockers) at the SNCF train station at MARNE LA VALLÉE-CHESSY train station--

A faster, simpler, more straightforward alternative to the RER %26#39;B%26#39;%26amp;%26#39;A%26#39; ligne transfer between CDG and DLP is a direct TGV train from the TGV/RER train station at CDG #2 (interconnected btwn: CDG #2-C%26amp;D and CDG #2-E%26amp;F..accessed from CDG #1 via CDGVAL shuttle/train--8 mins). The TGV from CDG to MARNE LA VALLÉE-CHESSY TGV only takes 11 minutes---vs 90 mins (or more) via RER %26quot;B%26#39;%26amp;%26#39;A%26#39;.

The one-way train fare will be more (15€ or so per person??) but it may be well worth the extra expense for the precious time and aggravation it may save you. Then use the RER %26#39;A%26#39; ligne train for your return to Paris at the end of the day.
