Hi there, I am wondering if anyone knows how possible it is to drive from Turin to Val D;Isere at the moment. Using route finders the journey does not appear to be that long but I%26#39;m not sure if any of the passes would be closed and whehter this means that the journey is completely undoable. I%26#39;d really appreciate any advice on this. Many thanks.

Hi,
You want to take the Frejus tunnel - don%26#39;t trust the route finders or satnav during winter! Friends of mine have added 7 hours to their journey by making those mistakes.
Basically, all the cols will be closed, but going via the Frejus tunnel, then Albertville - Moutiers - Bourg St Maurice should be do-able. I forget how long exactly, but maybe 4 hours?
Cheers,
Matt

Good advice above. Take the Frejus tunnel but make sure you buy a return ticket.
