My husband and I will be travelling to Paris in February for 4 nights for the first time. I am looking for suggestions for hotels with wheelchair friendly room/bathrom. We are in our early 30%26#39;s and this will be our first trip away from Australia for my husband as a paraplegic so we want to make it as less stressful as possible. Also is the train system wheelchair friendly??

Some sites for accessibility in Paris can be found here. I do not have personal experience with them as I do not have a disability, but I have an interest in the area.

These look like a good start.
Forget the Metro, but some buses and some RER trains and stations are accessible. There are some G7 taxis (only 12 I believe) that have ramps and many more that will allow transfer and fold the chair into the boot.
My search terms were Accessible transport Paris, accessible hotels Paris, wheelchair accessible Paris.
Good luck. There is certainly a mood of change in France concerning accessibility which is great to see.

There is one metro line that is perfectly accessible - line 14, the rest is impossible to use. The buses are very good but not all routes are accessible, you can get a list of ones that are on infomobi.com. The area around the opera and major department stores is full of accessible buses (most of the lines in the 20s) and the 14 has a stop there.
