What is the best way to get from Nice airport to the Nice Calvi Ferry
|||
Hi! The way we usually do it is to get a bus (99 or 98 I think) into the Centre of Nice as far as the Railway Station, then get a taxi from there to the port.
Getting a taxi all the way is an option, but an expensive one - it%26#39;s quite a long journey!
You could get a bus from the centre of Nice to the port (bizarrely, there is no direct bus between the port and the airport) but buses do not go all the way to the Corsica Ferries terminal and you will still have to trundle your cases the best part of a kilometre. A taxi on the other hand will drop you off at the terminal.
And take care on the way back. If the boat is late, as ours was in September, you could get into difficulties. See my blog: …blogspot.com/2008_09_01_archive.html for the gory details.
Good Luck! DTR

The 99 express bus goes to the main train station in Nice = there used to be some 99 buses that went on to the port but they don%26#39;t at the moment
The express bus 98 goes to the bus station [and continues to the train station on request after the 99 buses have stopped]
both buses cost 4 Euros and the ticket is an all day ticket for buses and trams
You have the option of taking a tram to Place Garibaldi and walking to the port [use same ticket you got on the bus ] but its a fair distance
Or from the train station you can take bus number 30 and get off at the port [also use the same ticket you got on the express bus]
However getting a taxi from the main train station after arriving on the bus 99 is probably the easiest option, especially if you have a lot of luggage
