question about christmas week apartment rental

our family is heading to Paris for christmas week. I have a specific question about renting an artment on ile de la Cite. Would you choose a 4th floor on rue d Arcole or groung floor on rue Chanoinesse?

Are there bakeries, groceries on this island like on st louis?

Thank you much

well, december in Paris is winter season, that%26#39;s could mean cloudy, rainy, perhaps snow and poor day light. 4th floor would be better, but rue d%26#39;Arcole is a busy traffic street crossing St Louis Island. Rue Chanoinesse seems definitely quiter but ground floor will be darker. Your choice or why don%26#39;t you try (if still available) the id 123 (duplex under the roofs with elevator) at rue St André des Arts on

www.vacationinparis.com

a pedestrian street just few steps from métro St Michel, Notre Dame and St Louis Island.....

|||

of course you have bakeries, groceries, restaurants on St Louis Island as you have them at Place Buci just few steps from St André des Arts ...

|||

I would never choose a ground floor apartment in a city -- they are less safe, less private and darker than higher level apartments.

|||

ok then call www.vacationinparis.com they are located in the New Jersey and ask about id 123, last floor with elevator ... By the way, we have been in Nashville to visit the Sun Studios, Grand Ole Opry and Tammy Winette%26#39;s home .(would say the gate only)......

|||

TQ, ID 123 is in arr 6 by Luxembourg gardens. Would you recheck. please.

|||

sorrx for the delay chrismom, but in Europe it was %26quot;dodotime%26quot; ....

Well id 123 is on rue St André des Arts. You are at few steps of the Place St Michel, Metro and RER St Michel station, 10 minutes to the Seine and Notre Dame de Paris, 15 minutes to St Louis Island. The street is pedestrian, you have a coffee shop at 2 minutes where you can have a choice of cafees, croissants and much more, you are at 5 minutes to Place Buci where there are a lot of %26quot;commerces de bouche%26quot; (how can i translate : food stores) ....ok

|||

go to www.maps.google.fr

at the top you have : recherche :

enter rue saint andré des arts, Paris

would be the best way to localize the street if you have no map ...

|||

foundf the street. Location looks great. But ID 123 is on Rue Vavin luxembourg. Maybe your apartment no longer available through vacation in paris. I will keep searching their website. Thanks

Chris
