Where to stay in St. Tropez close to beach and nightlife

Hello,

What area would be best for a vacation to be near the restaurants/shops, near nightlife (walking distance - around 20 minutes), and walking distance to the beach (may be 5-10 minutes)?

In another words, where would it be best to stay in/around the town without a car in June.

Thank you.

Sorry, did some extensive research and came up with few more questions:

1. How far walking distance from the town%26#39;s center small ST town center beaches? I believe the closest ones are: Plage de la Bouillabaisse and Plage des Graniers. Please, let me know if there are other choices that are close(r) to the center.

2. How much would it cost to get to Pampalone/Tahiti beach from the town%26#39;s center by taxi.

3. I%26#39;ve read that there is a bus service running few times a day during the summer between the town%26#39;s center and Pampalone. Does anyone know the cost of the bus service and the schedule?

4. Where can I find a list of hotels on Pampalone/Tahiti beach?

5. Which hotels would be recommended under $200 a night (if such exist) in that Pampalone beach area that are walking distance to the nightlife?

6. And the last question is wich nightlife would be recommended mostly: ST center or on Pampalone beach strech?

Your advices would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you!

The closest beach to downtown St Tropez is the Plage des Graniers, followed by the Plage des Canebiers and its large bay and nautical club. These are within walking distance of town and family-friendly beaches.

But they%26#39;re not the ones most folks think of when they think of St Trop beaches.

The wild %26amp; famous ones are all along the long stretch of Plage de Pampelonne which is sliced into a number of club beaches, each with its own club, its theme or attraction: Millesim, Pago pago, Moorea Plage, Club 55.

It%26#39;s fun to walk along the stretch of Pampelonne beach, by the plush beach chairs and beach towels, and get a feel for the different styles of these beach clubs: the business club, the single and looking, the nude, the prude (err, maybe) etc. It%26#39;s like a walk in the zoo in some places.

My personal favorite beach is the Plage des Salins for its white sand and its lower-key style. And my favorite way to get there is on foot, after a 90 min hike along the gorgeous coastal hiking path.

As for what nightclub to recommend, the ST beach is worth experiencing but, if you can get in, Les Caves du Roy is a sort of St Trop Club legend. To get in, it helps if you look rich, sexy or famous :)

Enjoy!

Can%26#39;t help you with a cheap hotel since we usually stay at Chateau Messardiere and they have a 24 hour shuttle to beach and town.

But as far as nightclubs go, Les Caves du Roy is alot of fun. However, you should dress like you just came off a yacht. It will help you get in for sure. We%26#39;re going back for our third time this June as well. You%26#39;ll love it!
