train to Paris

We%26#39;ll be staying in Connelles near Les Andelys in March.We%26#39;ll have our car with us and intend to drive to Versailles one day.We%26#39;d also like to go in to Paris another day but not with the car.

Can anyone who knows this area well advise me on train station options? We don%26#39;t mind driving nearer to the city and then taking the train or RER.We%26#39;d prefer to not have to change until we change on to the metro in Paris.

Mantes-la-Jole station (nice name) is the jucion of the trains to Paris St Larere from both Rouen and Caen, and also has a slow service to Montparnasse. I don%26#39;t have information on parking. For timetables see www.voyages-sncf.com

Many thanks for the speedy reply.

You might consider driving to Giverny and getting the train there. It%26#39;s a little over an hour from Les Angelys. Speaking of which, make time to have a meal there at La Chaîne d%26#39;Or, a very good small hotel and restaurant right on the border of the Seine.

There is no railway station in Giverny. The closest is in Vernon.
