I%26#39;m in urgent need for a hair cut. I plan to visit a hair salon during my trip to Paris end of this month. Suggestions, anyone?

I always get a haircut in Paris - it%26#39;s worth the time just to see the look on the face of the hairdresser at home when I answer the inevitable who did your last cut question.
I started out by going to the salon in one of the big department stores and asking the operator with the cut most like mine, %26quot;Who did it?%26quot;.
It didn%26#39;t take me long to realize that one of the main ingredients of Parisienne chic is the hair cut - since there are so very many chic Parisiennes, there can be no shortage of good hair cutters. Now I just go to the first salon that catches my eye. I%26#39;ve never been disappointed.
In the many years I%26#39;ve been getting cuts in Paris, my hair has gone from an inch above my waist, to 1.5 inches long on the top. No hairdresser in Paris has ever screwed it up, no matter what the length was.

I use any one of these salons in Paris. It is a large chain, but the ones in Paris seem to be very good. I%26#39;ve used 3 different ones and been very happy.

Just scroll down to Paris (the list is alphabetical) and you will see all the locations.

In this same subject, does anyone know the name of the hair salon within a block or two of the Rambuteau metro station on Rue Rambuteau on the right side of the street walking toward the Picasso Musee? It may be the one mentioned in above link but I am not sure.

Thank you all for the postings. Yeah, I have had haircut in Paris. I was very happy with the cut. This time around, instead of going back to the same hair salon, I plan to try a new one. So, please keep the postings coming. Thank you.

Thanks for this! I have naturally curly hair and would like to get a haircut while in Paris in Feb 2009.
Even though I have found a good person where I currently am (Anchorage, AK) nothing quite beats a %26#39;city chic%26#39; hairstyle. Hopefully I%26#39;ll find someone who is fashion forward-- I%26#39;m always willing to experiment.

I can highly recommend Giorgio, 119, Boulevard de Grenelle, Paris 75015, tel.:01 43 06 47 92. Ask for Sophia. You won%26#39;t be disappointed. She cut my hair when I was in Paris this past fall. Absolutely love it.
