We will be travelling from Geneva to Tignes on a Sunday in February.
So far my research indicates those hypermarkets/supermarkets that open on a Sunday close before noon. We land at Geneva at 11.30am.
I know I will get a Sherpa open when we arrive in Tignes, but I was anxious to do a big shop %26quot;down the valley%26quot; to keep costs down. Anyone know of somewhere open on a Sunday afternoon on my route (Annecy, Albertville, Moutiers, Bourg)?
Cheers,
Cottons.

You won%26#39;t find much of anything open on Sunday afternoon -- even here in the Paris region.
You might be able to find a superette (a corner store) that%26#39;s open, that you could pick up a few things, and you can almost always find a boulanger or depot de pain.
I%26#39;d plan on going out to eat on Sunday night (there will be restaurants open) then going shopping on Monday.

Thanks. I thought that might be the case.

Check out the large Migros supermarket at the far end of Geneva station (ie the one that%26#39;s right next door to the airport NOT in the centre of Geneva). The following site syas it%26#39;s 7 days per week, 8am - 9pm

Cheers K8387,
I%26#39;d never have found that in a million years. You%26#39;ve obviously been in it before. I was actually down in that area when I took a train to Zermatt last year. I bought some T-shirts for my kids from Quicksilver but I obviously didn%26#39;t get far enough along to see the supermarket.
