Hi,

I would definitely recommend eating at Casa di Delfo at 10, rue de la Trémoille, 75008. The ambience here is perfect, not too crowded but not undercrowded and the food is superb, fresh, delicious and very Italian. The average price for a mains is 22 Euro (quite expensive but you%26#39;re in Paris) and the à la carte price: 45 Euros. It%26#39;s not far from the Eiffel Tower either and has very friendly waiters, and the wine is excellent. Please go!

Failing that you%26#39;ve Caruso, said to be the best Italian restaurant in Paris. It%26#39;s certainly one of my faves. Service is first rate and the wine is of a good quality, try Valpolicella Classico. The Food here is reasonable with the following prices as a guide; Antipasti €10 - €13, Pastas €11.50 - €14, Risotto €13 - €13.50, Secondi €13 - €22, Formaggi e Dolci €7 - €8. Amongst some great pasta dishes they%26#39;ve got the %26quot;Spaghetti al nero di seppia%26quot; which is thin noodles covered in a delicious black sauce served with squid. (My favourite)

Address: Italian 3, rue de Turenne 4th Arrondissement

Food for thought!

OH Charlotte,

I think I will try your Casa di Delfo on my arrival night. According to Mappy it is a 13 minute walk from my apt. I am in the 7th on General Camou and Bourdonnais..just take Tapp And George V to Tremoille.

Sounds like a good one for first night. I like it to be cozy/quiet..early dinner with some wine and home to bed and I am all set in the morning.

I would normally just go to Cafe Constant or Les Cocottes, but will make a change...

Santa Lucia on Rue des Canettes in the 6th (very close to St-Sulpice Church). Mid-range prince, has its regulars (and for me it is a plus).

I have 2 Italian restaurants on my street with real pizza ovens etc. One is Pompei and the other one is Casa dell%26#39;Estelle on rue de Castellane 75008 (Metro Madeleine , exit # 5)

|||

PS Rue du Dragon in the 6th also has several good restaurants but I just go once in a while and do not remember their name, they are all on the same small street.

ALSO there is Les Cailloux on rue des 5 diamants in the 13th if you happen to be in that area, next to Auguste Blanqui street/market.

Ditto on Santa Lucia on rue des Canettes. Best for spaghetti with clams and pizza. There are 2 others on this same small street, my favorite being Pizzeria Positano which has wonderful linguine with prawns in the best sauce. Chez Bartolo is good too but no credit cards. Also, Marco Polo is quite good and a bit more upscale -- it%26#39;s on the corner of rue de Conde and rue St. Sulpice. No Michelin stars for these but good, authentic Italian food.
