My husband and I will be staying in Paris for 5 nights the end of July. Any suggestions for a day trip outside of Paris.

Thank you

I agree. The topic of %26quot;Day Trip from Paris%26quot; has been covered almost as extensively as %26quot;how do I get from CDG to my hotel.%26quot; A search will reveal a wealth of wisdom greater than you will get in a new query.

Versailles is well worth a day trip (or even half a day).

Giverny is beautiful. Highly recommended. Be sure to visit L%26#39;Orangerie and Musee d%26#39;Orsay before you go to Giverny.

Day trip to Reims is also fun, especially if you appreciate champagne.

Rouen, Reims, Chartres or Troyes. All accessible by train.

Annabelle Simms wrote a book called One Hour From Paris. You can get it on Amazon. It contains 13-15 day trips all made via metro from Paris center. It also has directions, suggested walking routes, a short history and restaurants in the town. It%26#39;s a good book for anyone who will be staying in Paris long enough to venture outside the city.

My boyfriend and I just returned from Paris on Tuesday evening and took a day trip to Versailles. It definitely was worth it and since you%26#39;ll be there in the summer...all of the fountains will be flowing and the grounds will be beautiful with the trees and flowers.

Have you been to Paris before? With just 5 days I would plan only one 1/2 day or day trip. Give yourself time to soak up the city. My first 5 day trip I did Versaille,my second 6 day trip I did Giverny, my recent 5 day trip I stayed in the city (but was there for a wedding so time was limited) and did some off the beaten path things.

Happy Travels!!
