Apartment to Rent

I am looking for recommendations for a 2 bedroom/2 bathroom apartment for 3 nights in Sep 09. We have never been to Nice before so not sure on areas etc. We will already have had a week in Paris %26amp; 4 days in St Remy. Would probably like to be quite central to restaurants, we all love to eat out. It would be nice to have a view but people mention that traffic noise can be a problem with units overlooking the water??

Our budget would be approx 250E per night.

Thanks in advance.

September, especially the first 2 weeks, is still the high season. I doubt you could find an apartment only for 3 nights. The minimum is usually 7 nights in high or mid-season.

Check anyway on Nice Pebbles, Riviera Pebbles and VRBO.

Thank you. As it happens we will be there about the last week of Sep and it seems like high season finishes on the 15th Sep. You may be right about the 7 days minimum....never thought about that.

Plan B- can anyone recommend alternative accomm. Comfortable hotel would do.

all september is a good month with congress and good weather

october sometimes

I advise you to book an appart hotel, you will have the service included, kitchen... and no minimum nights

check citadines, sejoursdusud.com, ...

Check Citadines Promenades (room finishing by 06 are the larger one, I suggest 206 or 306). Larger room have one sofa bed and one %26quot;closed bedroom%26quot;.

A bit more expensive than an apartment but rents by the night. Has indoor parking too but accomodates small cars (like Opel Cors, Peugeot 207 or 307, etc)

We recently stayed at the hotel Mercure Promenade des Anglais and were very happy with our accommodation. Sea-view rooms overlook the Promenade, of course, but there is little, if any, traffic noise because of double doors to the small balcony. The hotel is within walking distance (10 minutes, perhaps) of Vieux Nice and only a block from the rue Masséna, with its many cafés and restaurants. The Place Masséna, now a hub for the tram lines, is 3 blocks away. Rooms are large, as are the bathrooms, and the beds we have had in our two stays have been extremely comfortable.

I too am looking for accommodation on the Cote, for the 2nd week of June, but only for 4 nights. I had been looking at Riviera Pebbles, I liked the locations in old Nice, but we would have a car to %26quot;house.%26quot; After reading this thread I went to sojoursdusud and liked their %26quot;deal%26quot; (and the garage prices!) but didn%26#39;t love the Nice location. However, the Eze location seemed great, and I am such a sucker for a water view....

BUT....how does Eze stack up as a base for exploring the French Riviera?

Merci

Eze is a bit farther east along the coast, and it%26#39;s something of a drive up and down each time you%26#39;d want to go out. If you are interested in visiting places like Antibes, Cannes, St-Paul-de-Vence, Vence, Mougins, Tourrettes-sur-Loup, and Gourdon you%26#39;d have farther to travel than if you stayed someplace more central.

|||

Thanks, I had a feeling that was true. Ok back to Nice or Antibes.

|||

I have been looking on the availability websites of the apartments and put in 3 day stay and they all give me a price for the 3 days, so maybe the 7 day rule has been relaxed because of it being later Sep? Maybe, when I get more specific and try to book, I might run into a problem. There seems to be some lovely apartments thru nicepebbles %26amp; riverpebbles so might choose one of theirs. Has anyone stayed at the Alexandre Mari in Nice?

to be honnest, I prefer to stay in Eze instead of Antibes in summer

Eze is at 10min by car to Nice or Monaco, 5 min to the motorway.....

after it%26#39;s true, the beach is at 15min...

but antibes is not a good city to drive towards other cities

if you want to stay near the beach and no drive, ok

I advise you to stay in Nice

in June, you don%26#39;t have a maximum of trafic
