Resort near to Grenoble France?

Hi, we are a family of 4 with kids age 5 and 12. Looking at getting a flight to Grenoble in Feb. Can any one please recommend a suitable resort for the kids to learn in? Preferably within 1.5 hours transfer and with reasonable lift pass costs? We both ski and board but want to concentrate on getting the kids going so wide open nursery slopes preferred. Many thanks

We%26#39;ve been to Alpe D%26#39;Huez the last couple of years and there are plenty of wide open green slopes with lots of kids learning on them, it%26#39;s even got a small kids ski/play area for the younger one to enjoy.

There is also a leisure centre with a pool and ice skating round the corner for when you%26#39;re off piste. Lots of family orientated restaurants aswell.

Hello,

There are at least 4 ranges of mountains around Grenoble where you can ski.

The closest to the airport are Vercors (around Villard de Lans) and Chartreuse (around Saint Pierre de Chartreuse).

A bit further away, but closest to Grenoble, is Belledonne (Chamrousse ski resort, for example).

Then, you%26#39;ll get to higher elevation and more famous resorts in Oisans, in resorts such as Alpe d%26#39;Huez and Les 2 Alpes.

For a family type of vacation and cheaper lift tickets, I would suggest either Villard de Lans or Chamrousse. But you%26#39;ll be surer of getting snow at higher elevation in Oisans... You call...
