30th Anniversary would be a big deal in my family.

What%26#39;s your budget for a hotel in Euros?

Will the couple be there long enough to take advantage of an apartment (5 to 7 days)?

Would they be interested in seeing the sites, or would a close proximity to restaurants be more important?

Have they ever been to Paris before this trip?

Do you think they would like a quiet residential area, or something more lively?

there looking to do the sights and they will be there for a weekend so only a hotel room is needed,im not too sure as to the budget, and i think an area close to the sights with a good selection of restaraunts cafes etc would be great.

thanks for your help

We were in Paris in May for a few days. Stayed at the Hotel Henri IV Rive Gauche in the Latin Quarter.

We thought it was decent, ok rooms, good location close to restaurants and only a short walk to the subway.

I%26#39;d stay there again.

You say you are not sure about budget, but that is not helpful, I could list a few places, but under what, 100, 150 or 200 euros.. you should be able to narrow it down for us. For a 30th anniversary I would have a more liberal view of what too expensive was. so it can vary alot.

dont want to horn in on your question...but it is the same as mine. i am going to paris in april and would like to find a hotel that is centrally located for sights that is under 150 euros (under $200). does anyone have a suggestion...the choices on the hotel sites are overwhelming to choose from.

thanks, gail

speak2me; Hotel Muguet in the 7th will set you back about 140Euros for a twin/double. Clean, nice neighbourhood, very recently (and tastefully) renovated. They run a tight ship at the desk but so very, very professional. Our next trip will be an apartment but wouldn%26#39;t choose another hotel if in town for a short stay. Breakfast @ hotel too expensive IMO, walk over to Rue Cler (5mins) and grab

eggs and bacon for about 8Euros at the first restaurant on your left by the post office. You won%26#39;t get jerked around with no replies to your eMails either.

My husband and I loved the Hotel Muguet also.

By the way, the breakfast there last year at this time was 9 euros, they made-to-order omlets for that price, also unlimited OJ, coffee, tea, croisants,

jams, limited fruit. We loved the handiness of eating

there, but one day we did eat out. We found Hotel Muguet a very good value- - - - but we did choose to

pay a little extra for a room with a view of the Eiffel Tower.( room 41 or 51 or 61.)

thank you so much for the suggestion. i will look into hotel muguet.

hi again,i think the budget would be 200 euro per night for a hotel, the people going are my wifes uncle and aunt and we are trying to book a surprise trip for them but none of us have been to paris and the couple that are going have never been there before so its important that they are reaonably centraly located and not in a rip off hotel etc.

so any help you can give would be great.
