Also, not sure what I should walk to or take the metro. I am 40s healthy, but it might be really cold %26amp; may want to save some time. Open to suggestions to eating places in the areas mentioned. I%26#39;ve got a list, but sooo many to choose from %26amp; not yet organized.

|||

Rodin Museum is very close to the Dôme Church (Napoleon%26#39;s tomb) try to drop by and see it, it%26#39;s very beautiful and is covered by the museum pass.

When on Champs-Élysées you can go up the Arc de Triomphe for a great view, it%26#39;s also covered by the museum pass and it%26#39;s open late, till 10:30PM or so.

Thursday is the one day I think has too many activities in it--even if you just spend a couple of hours at the Louvre.

I suggest moving something to Sunday. Galeries Lafayette isn%26#39;t open on Sunday and my guess is that the covered passages won%26#39;t have open shops on Sunday either. Sunday isn%26#39;t a good time to visit the Opera Garnier if there is a matinee that day.

Therefore, I suggest that you see the Louvre on Sunday morning (assuming that your visit doesn%26#39;t have you there on the first Sunday of the month because the Louvre is free that day and it will be mobbed) and then head to the Marais District. You could have lunch at L%26#39;As du Falafel and then walk around the Marais. Go online to the Louvre site and check it out and see what wing(s) you wish to visit. You will have a better experience if you decide in advance what you want to see.

If I am not mistaken, L%26#39;Orangerie has expanded their hours so they are now open in the mornings too. Therefore, you could go to L%26#39;Orangerie first thing on Thursday morning (if you get in line before it opens you shouldn%26#39;t have to wait). Then wander in the Tuilleries and see Place de la Concorde (both of which are right there) and then cross the street of Rue de Rivoli to have food or hot chocolate at Angelina%26#39;s. Then you could head over to the Opera Garnier. Galleries Lafayette is near Opera Garnier. Be sure to see the beautiful rotunde ceiling and go up to the top to see the view. I wouldn%26#39;t spend long at Galleries Lafayette. It is really just a big department store. Shopping is more fun in the Marais District in the small shops as well as the unique shops in the covered passages.

I forgot to add that I was planning on going to the Arc De Triomphe after the Champs Elyees. I agree that Thursday looks too busy. I will re-adjust %26amp; get back to you all. Thanks!

|||

Yes, I agree. Thursday is way too full. There is plenty of room on the other days to spread some of that out. Get a map of the city and re-do the itinerary (specifically Thursday) while you%26#39;re looking at the map so you can group things that are in the same area. If that doesn%26#39;t work perfectly, you can always use the metro to speed things up.

|||

Ok I am trying to adjust. A couple of questions: What would be less crowded, ( I will have pass). 1st thing in am or afternoon?

Louve afternoon (may go fri: open late)

Arc de Triomphe: afternoon or morning?

I was thinking of moving the Louve to Friday afternoon(St. Germain day).

Moving arc %26amp; champ elysees to thurs in am or keep on wed after Rodin.

I will see tower at night (trocadero) either fri or sat.

I could move the Louve to sunday, but leaving that for my last day, makes me nervous, in case something happens.

Thurs still seems full if I move arc %26amp; champ to thurs.

HELP!

|||

Perhaps skip Galleries Lafayette. There isn%26#39;t time to see everything.

The Louvre, Tuilleries, L%26#39;Orangerie, Place de la Concorde and Angelina%26#39;s are all in the same location.

You would just need to travel a short distance to get to Opera Garnier and to the covered passages.

Be sure to get to Opera Garnier. It is a %26quot;must see.%26quot;

|||

OClisa-

Just got back on Friday. Be sure and get to L%26#39;Arc de Triomphe at dusk- if the trees are still lit on the Champs, you will never forget the sight. And be sure and dress warmly; it was COOOOLD.
