Hi. I%26#39;ve been reading that alot of places are closed in Paris on Mondays. Our trip at the end of May will consist of Sunday arrival, Monday and Tuesday in the city. Will we run into problems or will we still be able to fill our days? Also, is 140 Euro a good value for a double room? Staying at Hotel Muguet. Hubby thinks it may be high but I%26#39;ve been doing extensive research and great reviews from TA. I think it%26#39;s a great deal. Thanks.

Yes, several places are closed on Monday%26#39;s and Tuesday%26#39;s so you need to write an itinerary after looking at the days/hours of the places you would like to visit so you don%26#39;t plan to go on a day it%26#39;s closed. For example, the ever popular and must-see Louvre museum is closed on Tuesday%26#39;s.

SOME museums (Musée d%26#39;Orsay, Rodin, Marmottan, the museums administered by the City of Paris, Chateau de Versailles) will be regularly closed on Mondays. SOME museums (Musée du Louvre, l%26#39;Orangerie,Picasso, Cluny, centre Pompidou...mainly %26#39;..nationale..%26#39; museums) will be regularly closed on Tuesdays. Even so, there will be much more than enough for you to see and do in Paris on either day. It would just be a good idea to check on the regular open/closed days of any museum or attraction that you plan to visit...to avoid arriving to find it closed.
If the neighborhood of the 7eme arrondissement suits your preference, then the HÔTEL MUGUET is an excellent choice. Though only officially %26#39;rated%26#39; as a 2-star; this hotel is on a par with many 3-star properties. The Muguet completed extensive renovation/remodeling a couple of years ago...and it%26#39;s great many glowing reviews, over many years, by past guests are justly earned.
