Hi, I know somebody has already asked about honeymooning in Corsica but this question is slightly different... the 4 star hotels seem to have very little availability for the first week of June 2009. Is there any particular obvious reason for this? some of the hotels at this time are extremely expensive, e.g. 700 euro per night! is this a particularly busy time in Corsica? Could you recommend any nice hotels in Calvi - there was one beautiful one which somebody mentioned here before but it doesn%26#39;t have any rooms available in early june - very sorry i can%26#39;t remember the name! sorry for the rambling post...!:)

Lorraine, it shouldn%26#39;t be that busy in June - the real pricey times are July and August. Have you tried booking through a holiday company (eg Corsican Places, Simply Corsica) or are you trying to book direct?
Good Choice for a honeynoon! Hope all goes well - DTR

Hi there, I was actually looking at sites like Expedia and hotels.com but I have found it much better to go through, e.g. Thomson from the UK, or even book directly on the hotels own websites (which surprised me because often hotels.com is better value for other countries!) Could you advise me at all on any luxury hotels (say 4 star) which are not too secluded, e.g. within walking distance of a few restaurants? A lot of places I see seem to be very secluded, say 25km from the town, which is a bit more secluded than we might like. Many thanks!
