Hi all, Newbie here, in desperate need of help.
I%26#39;m planning a big family holiday to europe in the next couple of years, and I%26#39;m in desperate need of advice. There will be 3 of us, myself and my husband and our son who will be 10 by the time the trip takes place.
I%26#39;m working on a week in Paris (roughly) and 10 days or so to explore the highlights of the rest of France. We will be hiring a car or a campervan (still deciding which one) so will have freedom to move around.
We are planning on heading towards switzerland and circle round thru austria, czech republic, germany, Norway, Denmark, Belgium and back into france again.
I figure this way will give us 2 goes at france without spending too much time driving back and forwards.
Okay, to the real reason for this post. I want to know what%26#39;s the absolute must not miss sightseeing and experiences that we should try and include. Just for france at the moment, as I%26#39;ll post in the other relevant forums for the other countries after i%26#39;ve finished researching france.
We like museums, some art but not too much, out door displays of life and history, theme parks, adventure type tours, nature at her grandest and anything that will immerse us in the culture of the country.
This is our once in a life time trip, so if I miss anything i%26#39;m sunk, as there is no way I%26#39;ll ever get my husband to go back to europe again.
I%26#39;m interested in everyone%26#39;s oppinions, web links, fave resturants, towns that we shouldn%26#39;t miss, scenery that will blow our minds that sort of thing.
Thanks in advance for all the advice
Jo
