Since we seem to be on an airline/flights kick....I%26#39;ve been looking at flights from LAX to CDG out May 22 and return June 20th. While I prefer non-stop (tho I fly all the time, I hate flying) those flights cost about $500 more per person. The Lufthansa fare sale requires departure by April...2nd I think (or 9th...whatever, too early for us)
The best fare I%26#39;ve found (using Expedia, Orbitz, and what I usually find to be the best fares--individual airlines%26#39; websites) is on Air Canada, (@ $1135 p/p)but I know nothing about them. Average? better... worse? This would be through Toronto (and the preferred flight choice has a 90 minute layover/plane change, which, at Heathrow, would not always be enough! lol)
I%26#39;ve been doing this for a couple of weeks and not much has changed, so I%26#39;m ready to book the Air Canada, but I guess I%26#39;m seeking reassurance! ;-) Wish I had a crystal ball to know if fares will go down, but as that is getting into common vacation time, I%26#39;m guessing not. Bummer.

Toronto (Pearson - YYZ) is a whole lot smaller than Heathrow. It sounds like it is Air Canada on both legs (LAX to YYZ and YYZ to LHR). If so, then the lay-over time should not be an issue - especially if you are not entering Canada because then they will transfer your bags for you and you won%26#39;t have to deal with Canadian customs/immigration. I would check that this out first and also find out which terminal(s) you arrive/leave from in Toronto.
I%26#39;ve travelled a lot on Air Canada including to/from Europe and I find them at least as good as most other airlines and certainly better than many of the US airlines I have used.
