Cheapest way to get around Paris

Hi, My wife and I will be in Paris in February and were wondering if anyone could assist us with selecting the right train tickets for the duration of our stay (5 days). Since our currency is extremely weak (€1 = ZAR 14), we were hoping to get the cheapest deal. We will need the following:

1. Tickets from CDG to Gare du Nord Station RETURN

2. Tickets from Gare du Nord Station to Disneyland RETURN

3. Tickets travelling around Paris

Thanks in advance

1. RER-B

3. Walk as much as possible. Central Paris is very compact. Get a good compact street map (some of the city%26#39;s laid out like a maze) and plan accordingly. The major tourist interests are all within an hour%26#39;s walk of each other. The walks can be very nice. Versailles is a big exception--about nine miles out from center. RER-C can get you there.

The tickets for CDG-Paris and Nord-DLP are what they are, no %26#39;deals%26#39; per-se. Both are on the RER network. The CDG-Paris ticket is about 8.40€ each way per person. From Nord to DLP, you have to take RER-B %26#39;south%26#39; to the Chatelet-les Halles huge underground and change to RER-A to Marne-la-Vallee/Chessy. Your RER ticket will cover from Nord to DLP and reverse for about 8.25€ each way pp.

A %26#39;carnet%26#39; (set of 10 loose tickets) for use just within Paris on the metro, bus and RER (within Paris) costs about 11.5€ - - you can share these with travel partner throughout your visit.

Thanks for the advice.

Can i buy the tickets at the airport?

|||

Use the metro line, it is very easy to use and will get you all around the city. I think it cost 5 euros for us to use all day in areas 1 and 2.

Do not use the hop on hop off buses, they are a rip off (58 euros for two people for 1 day!!!)

Yes, you can purchase tickets at the airport.
