Paris cheap eats

Hi,

my wife and I are going on a Europe vacation. We will be in Paris for 12 days. We love food but likely will only eat upscale twice or so on the trip. We prefer not to spend large amounts on daily meals. My wife is not crazy about seafood but other than that we are pretty open. We will be all over Paris but our apartment is in the 1st arrondisment. What are some budget friendly eats? Extra points if they are unique, local, and good of course. Every thing from your favorite stand, cafe or bistro is appreciated.

Thanks

Vaughn

Sorry - I don%26#39;t dine anywhere that the food is described as %26quot;eats%26quot;.

I travel a fair amount and have dined in various classes of establishments. In doing research often the phrase cheap eats, is used. It is not my phrase. I think it is clear what I was looking for even if you are unfamiliar with thephrase. I wonder why you felt the need to post a resoponse that adds nothing to this topic.

Interesting that your comments are thought to add something to the topic of restaurant food in Paris, but other ideas do not.

The word eats has, in my experience, applied almost exclusively to diners and occasionally to truck stops in the eastern US - the I-95 corridor, as well as to some on the old Route 66. It implies a particular type of food that is unlikely to be found in Paris.

%26#39;Cheap Eats%26#39; is any expression used on many websites about Paris food (just tap in %26#39;Paris ceheap eats%26#39; in your search engine). Among the ones that came up for me was this one from a certain Tripadvisor:

Thanks Wansteader, for the link and the common perspective.
