Is Navigo Decouverte best choice or should I buy ticket?

Hi,

Will be in Paris from April 12 to 20th (sunday to monday). Will arrive at CDG and plan to take RER B to our appartment in 3rd (Metro St-Paul) and also for returning to the CDG when we will leave Paris. We are very good walkers but want to also go to Versailles for one day (by RER). What is the best thing to buy to Navigo or a booklet of ticket?

Thanks for your help.

Given the specific days-of-the-week of your arrival (Sunday) and departure (Monday), separate tickets for the RER %26#39;B%26#39; ligne train (8,40€), ROISSYBUS (8,90€) or Les CARS AIR FRANCE Coach (#2-15€ %26amp; #4-16.50€) will be your best bets for transfers between CDG and central Paris. Which option will %26#39;work%26#39; best for you will depend on your final destination in Paris. Since you won%26#39;t be able to use the weekly CARTE ORANGE (valid from First Train, Monday AM-until-Last Train Sunday PM) for airport transfers, then a CARTE ORANGE Zone 1-2 (16,80€) + DÉCOUVERTE %26#39;device%26#39; (5€) will probaly serve your purpose best for the one week portion of your propose itineray between arrival and departure....with a separate RER %26#39;C-5%26#39; ligne ticket from Paris out to VERSAILLES-Rive Gauche (5,80 r.t.).

You might save a couple of €uro by purchasing and sharing CARNETs (packets of 10 individual, reduced-priced Ticket t%26#39;s during your visit....but you would lose the simple %26#39;..hop-on/hop-off..%26#39; convenience/acess that the CARTE ORANGE provides. A certain in-tangible benefit of the CARTE ORANGE and re-usable (up to 10 years) DÉCOUVERTE %26#39;device%26#39; is that the DÉCOUVERTE makes a great personalized %26#39;souvenir%26#39;...as it requires that you provide a %26#39;head-shot%26#39; photo to affix to it.
